A University Athletic Association (UAA) is an athletic conference which competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) Division III. Member teams come located in Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Ohio and New York. Because both of a member universities wharehouses the stronger emphasis in academician than athletics, this conference is occasionally known as the "Nerdy Nine" (possibly though there are today exclusively eight members).
